Provides the right interventions at the right time (on time).
Ensures young people a successful transition into adulthood.
Assists our businesses to thrive and survive in the new economy.
What is a Youth Council?
The Youth Council mandated by
the Workforce Investment Act is a new feature that provides for significant
local community participation in the design and delivery of youth programs.
In Region Q, the Youth Council is a permanent committee of the WDB with
full authority to act on youth issues.
Youth Council members include people from Region Q’s five counties who have
experience with youth services, including former youth participants and parents
of eligible youth and groups such as the faith community, educators, housing authorities, law enforcement, vocational
rehabilitation and juvenile justice.
